John 1:1 ...... "The Word Was God"

It is true that in John 1:1 "the word was God." Not only was Jesus "brought forth", and "born" from solely God, but apparently every word spoken by Jesus were God's words, thus he is called the "word" and could be rightly called God, for he was a part of God and the "reflection of glory and the exact representation of his very being and he sustains all things by the word of his power." And it was this "word" of Jehovah that the heavens themselves were made." (Psalms 33:6) In verse 14 the "word", Jesus, "became flesh and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory", but notice his separation from the father, Almighty God, in verse 18 which states: "No man has seen God at any time, the only begotten "god" who is in the bosom with the Father is the one that has explained him."
