Jesus Christ: Who Is He?
Appointed By The Father
To The "Superior Position" and "Name" Of Almighty God Everything Subject To Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ was "obedient as far as death" and “for this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name , that is above every other name, so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the father” (Phil 2:9) Jehovah appointed Jesus a superior position making him "responsible for everlasting salvation to all those obeying him." (Heb 5:8; Phil 2:10,11) "God exhaulted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand." (Acts 5:31) Notice that God "put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him as head over all things to the church" (Eph 1:22) And also "In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him." (Heb 2:8) and "...Christ, who is the head over every power and authority" (Col 2:10 "...who has gone into heaven and is at God's right hand with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him." Jehovah also gave Jesus a higher name then himself, making the name of Jesus the only name for salvation. For it is only in "Jesus name that is above every name, so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. "This would explain the absence of the tetragramaten in the Christian Greek scriptures. Jesus name would replace the use of Jehovah's name. (Phillipians 2:9) This is not just a high position, but the position of Almighty God himself. Not that Jesus is the same as Jehovah, for they are two seperate persons, rather Jehovah has appointed his son, Jesus, to sit on his throne and rule as the Alpha and Omega.
